Upperhouse.info is intended to be a semi-entertaining site devoted to Australian Politics, Elections and Voting however due to our obsession with all matters electoral we sometimes stray into other areas such as New Zealand, the UK, France, Germany and the US. Afterall, any election is exciting. Plus it is always interesting to see how other Democracies work in order to improve our own.

The Upperhouse is run by our enigmatic host The Speaker, who isn't necessarily objective but tries to be.

There is no greater excitement for Psephologists (read as "election geeks") than to watch a call of the board on an election night. This is our version of a Grand Final. Unfortunately elections aren't held that often so in the meantime we spend our spare hours poring over opinion polls and old election statistics.
